Counteracting gender-based violence: we inform, warn and provide support to those who have encountered this problem

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a reality that, unfortunately, thousands of people face every day. Our mission is not only to help those who have suffered, but also to inform citizens about what GBV is, how to recognize it and what to do in case of encountering it.

As part of the project “From Vulnerability to Strength: A Comprehensive Protection Initiative”, we are implementing a set of services aimed at counteracting, preventing and overcoming the consequences of gender-based violence in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.

The project plans to:
???? Conduct 75 information and educational sessions for over 1,500 women, girls, people with disabilities and older women in communities on the topics of gender-based violence, women’s and girls’ rights, sexual and reproductive health and personal safety.
???? Distribution of 1,500 dignity packages to women and girls who have experienced or are at risk of GBV, as well as to other vulnerable groups who may be potentially at risk of GBV.
???? Issuance of information leaflets containing information on the types and signs of GBV, the rights of survivors, available services and contacts for appeals, complaint mechanisms, AAP and SEA principles.

Our work is based on four key principles: prevention, prevention, information and assistance to those who have suffered. We create a safe space where everyone can receive the necessary support without judgment and with complete confidentiality.

Knowledge is power. The more people know about gender-based violence, the more we can prevent its occurrence and help those who have already encountered it.

Helping those in need!

A set of services on the topic of combating gender-based violence is provided within the framework of the project "From Vulnerability to Strength: Comprehensive Protection Initiative", which is implemented by the 100% Life NGO in partnership with the Sustainable City Development Agency with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF).
